Second Cousins Once Removed and the Shared cM Project

Friday, April 16, 2021 | 2 PM – 3 PM

Each DNA company gives us an estimated relationship to our DNA matches, but how are you really related to that match? This first part of this presentation will help you become comfortable with cousin terminology. In the second part we will discuss the Shared cM Project, which is a tool genetic genealogists use daily. Guest speaker and genetic genealogist Dana Leeds will start with the basics, but also cover more advanced aspects of this necessary tool.

To register for these sessions, visit www.houstonlibrary.org and click on the word calendar at the top of the page.  Search the word "genealogy" and all the programs will come up allowing one to register for sessions.
