The presenter for our May 8^th meeting will be Kate Taney Billingsley, a descendant of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Roger B. Taney, who penned the 1857 infamous decision in Dred Scott v. Sanford. Billingsley is an actor, playwright and teaching-artist in New York City. In advance of our meeting, please view her play, “A Man of His Time," based on the legacy of the Dred Scott decision.
