Awards Programs

The Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society honor the tireless work and commitment to preserving African-ancestored family history, genealogy, and cultural diversity through a number of award programs.

Our awards programs are designed to recognize individuals, communities and corporations for outstanding contributions in promoting scholarly research; providing resources for historical and genealogical studies; creating a network of persons with similar interests; and assisting members in documenting their histories transforming education through advanced teaching research techniques.
