KUUMBA-LIVE!

About this event

The Daughters of the American Revolution Museum and the African American Craft Alliance are pleased to invite you to KUUMBA-LIVE!, a celebration of the sixth principle of Kwanzaa, taking place on December 31 from noon to 4 PM at the DAR Museum.

KUUMBA-LIVE! is part of the closing events for Fighting for Freedom: Black Craftspeople and the Pursuit of Independence,  the groundbreaking exhibition organized by the DAR Museum in partnership with the Black Craftspeople Digital Archives (BCDA). Curated by William Strollo, Dr. Torren L. Gatson,  and Dr. Tiffany Momon, KUMBA-LIVE will honor Dr. Gatson and Dr. Momon, creators of the BCDA.

Please join us at the DAR’s historic headquarters for exhibition tours, hands-on activities, a panel discussion, Kwanzaa ceremonial performances, and refreshments.
