The presentation is titled, "Connecting Generations: Tracing My Path to an Enslaved Ancestor, Ephraim," and will be presented by Tammy Ozier, AAHGS Life Member.
Building her lineage case for society membership meant digging deep into historical records and crafting solid proof statements. In this presentation, she will walk through the documentation, the reasoning behind her evidence, and how she connected the dots to her enslaved ancestor, Ephraim. We’ll explore research challenges, the importance of evaluating sources, and the significance of preserving family stories with accuracy and integrity.
