Join us for our 2025 Annual SLRC Genealogy Lecture with Judy G. Russell, The Legal Genealogist, who will present four lectures:
- That First Trip to the Courthouse
- Courting America: Using Court Records for Genealogy
- Where there Is -- or Isn't -- a Will
- Rogues, Rascals and Rapscallions: The Family Black Sheep

This event will be presented both virtually and in-person; however, it will not be recorded. If you would like to attend virtually, you can access the virtual event from the Pratt's Facebook page or YouTube page on the date and time included here. Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided to in-person attendees. The first lecture will start at approximately 10:30am.

Judy G. Russell is a genealogist with a law degree who writes, teaches and lectures on a wide variety of genealogical topics. Russell is a Certified Genealogist® and Certified Genealogical Lecturer from the Board for Certification of Genealogists® and a member of the National Genealogical Society, the Association of Professional Genealogists, as well as numerous state genealogical societies. She also serves on the faculty at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR), the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG), the GRIP Genealogy Institute (GRIP), the Midwest African American Genealogy Institute (MAAGI), and the Genealogical Institute on Federal Records (Gen-Fed).
