This inspiring educational event will begin with the national premiere of the thirty-five minute documentary film, Earth, I Thank You: The Garden and Legacy of Anne Spencer.

A panel discussion will follow on how Spencer's garden served not only as a personal creative sanctuary, but a nurturing space for community and cultural identity.

This event is free and open to the public. It will be hosted at the Oprah Winfrey Theater at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.
